"
Week Three - Tools to Use in the Classroom" is finally posted in the ElderUniversity "I Got Rhythm: Music in the Classroom" course. There is lots of information about using electronic technology to create your own tunes, recording in the classroom, videos to consider and a section on creating Drum Loops (OK drum loops is not yet complete...but I'm diligently working on it). For MAC users, there is info from Lee on how to use GarageBand. And for Window's users, there is a guide for using open source Anvil to create midi music. And finally, there are several examples of bleeding edge technology that will likely be in our classrooms someday soon. The creator of one of the Tools will be speaking to us in a webcast next week, so you really should check out the information on Jim Plamandon and the Thummer. Jim will talk to us about how one goes about designing musical applications and how they get marketed.
Now I don't want to give too much away, so come log on to the Moodle at ElderUniversity and explore the postings. Don't forget to leave comments in the forums.
