Heaven has a new Banjo player tonight. Lee Baber, my friend and associate passed away last Thursday night. Lee was a tremendous influence on a lot of people including me. Ok, it's the official end of the TESOL BAW08 EVonline session called "I Got Rhythm: Music in the Classroom"....well, actually, it's not even the end of that. Tomorrow, we have the great opportunity to interview Dr. Joseph Pisano, Assistant Chairman of Music and Fine Arts at Grove City College in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. February 2, was Groundhog day here. Folk tradition states that if the Groundhog comes out of his nest in the ground and see's his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. It was quite sunny here.
I'm not at all sure about the six weeks of winter...in fact, in Texas terms, that does not mean much at all...we have yet to even have a hard freeze here, and we are not that far from spring. What I do know is that the EVO class is about half over with....where'd it go?

Sorry but this weeks webcast has been canceled. It was just not possible to find a suitable hour for even most of us to be online. In it's place we are planning a one on one interview with Michael Coghlan and will have it online as a downloadable MP3, next week.
Karen Ellis of the National Children's Folksong Repository gave us more than an hours worth of insight last Sunday via a webcast.
